About the role

The Post Supervisor oversees fragrance compounding and material handling operations, supervising up to 20 subordinates while ensuring compliance with manufacturing protocols and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance to up to 20 subordinates on compounding procedures and techniques.
  • Apply working knowledge of fragrance materials, including wet, dry, viscous, flammable, hot, and hazardous substances, to ensure safe handling and effective use.
  • Initiate, develop, and support continuous improvement projects related to manufacturing effectiveness, material handling, equipment cleaning, and compliance with cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, EFfCI, and ISO guidelines.
  • Oversee compounding operations, including product manufacturing, inventory control, bin transfers, warehouse management, mixing, filling, and sampling of finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control, including lot numbers, warehouse locations, labeling, and stock rotation.
  • Follow approved manufacturing protocols, record-keeping procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Standard Operating Procedures and internal auditing guidelines.
  • Manage UltiPro time management database for scheduling, approving, and verifying employee time sheets weekly.
  • Review open order reports and production logs; attend morning production meetings to ensure on-time production and shipment needs are met.
  • Coordinate with planning and other departments to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Backup material handlers as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • College education (preferred).
  • Forklift certification (required).
  • Working knowledge of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Proficiency in the metric system and unit conversions.
  • Ability to interpret safety labels, manufacturing instructions, safety data sheets, scale readouts, and code numbers.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion between metric and English units for volume and weight.
  • Problem-solving and reasoning ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of EFfCI, ISO 9001:2015, and SQF; training will be provided for SQF, ISO 9001:2015, GMP, HACCP, and EFfCI systems.

Pay

$65,000–$85,000 annually.
