Sample Lab Technician, Fragrance Compounder

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets.
• Operate and clean mixing tanks, scales, pumps, and other production equipment while following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all company safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist in monitoring raw material stock levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or issues.
• Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and efficiency in the fragrance compounding process.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in sample lab compounding within fragrance or flavor manufacturing.
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy when measuring, weighing, and blending raw materials.
• Ability to follow written formulas and instructions precisely.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Skills

• Understand the order of addition for certain raw materials and the reasons behind it.
• Ability to distinguish fragrance notes.

Pay

$25 - $31 / hour
