Supervisor, Field Services
Responsibilities
- Supervise teams of electrical testing technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Construction document management including submittal review, RFI’s, change orders, and invoicing.
- Oversee the documentation of test procedures, review results, and generate test reports for customers.
- Aids in job execution and purchasing of job materials.
- Covers daily schedules of field service employees.
- Serves as a point of contact for customers regarding job-related questions and concerns.
- Conducts walkthroughs of job sites to discuss scope of work and/or any revisions based on customer requests or field conditions.
- Conducts regular safety meetings.
- Responsible for profit/loss on projects.
- Responsible for maintaining and executing project schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, equivalent engineering science or 6+ years of related field service management experience in the electrical testing industry.
- 4-6 years related experience with data centers, industrial services, and primary power distribution.
- 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Valid Driver’s license with good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understand electrical engineering principles related to substation design, construction and testing.
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers/critical infrastructure.
- Specific skills with protective relaying or NETA III or NETA IV certified.
- Experience using BIM 360 or similar construction management software.
- Able to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings for all disciplines.
- Define data center system-level architecture, and create and maintain project documentation.
- Experience in controls and commissioning of large scale projects.
- Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP).

About the Role
Power your Future with Qualus in our Field Service department as a Field Service Supervisor. Our Field Service Supervisors work in a first-line management role, utilizing a mix of soft and technical support skills. This position is expected to spend approximately 50% of the time coordinating field activities, visiting teams and customers in the field, and ensuring compliance with Company standard practices and procedures. The balance of time would be spent on employee management, business development, and financials. This position requires a person with a strong technical background as well as supervisory/managerial skills.
