Supervisor, Field Service - Sunbelt Supply

About the role
Operates in the field, on-call, or provides technical support to assigned customers. Measures job sites, writes job scopes, and quotes field jobs while ensuring all employees are safety-compliant and capable of working in industrial plants. Coordinates with customers on quotes and future jobs, sets up crews with the Planner, and travels with outside sales to meet customers and explain product functionality and job breakdowns.
Responsibilities
- Measures and writes quotes for field jobs.
- Evaluates job sites and rents proper equipment needed for jobs.
- Sets up crews with the Planner to cover jobs.
- Manages relations with contractors.
- Delegates job duties to field crews.
- Communicates with customers.
- Reads and interprets construction drawings.
Requirements
- Typically requires previous supervisory experience.
- Generally 5+ years of experience in related field operations.
- May require certifications such as MSHA or OSHA site-specific.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Continually required to sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity, talk, hear, and utilize visual acuity to read technical information or use a keyboard.
- Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, or carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noise (e.g., shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment).
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a professional office environment with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
