Supervisor Event (Part Time) 2026-2027

About the Role

The ESMP Event Supervisor is responsible for the on-site supervision, coordination, and real-time direction of student workers in the Enterprise Sports Media Program (ESMP) during live athletic events. This dual-role position requires both technical production expertise and the ability to coach, manage, and develop high school students in a professional live-event environment. The ESMP Event Supervisor operates under the direct authority of the Enterprise Funds Department and serves as the primary point of contact between Enterprise Funds and all on-site program operations during assigned events.

Event Supervisors will receive a flat payment of $40 per assigned athletic game and district event worked.

Responsibilities

• Event Operations & Technical Production
  • Serve as the on-site production lead and execute the Enterprise Funds Run of Show.
  • Set up, test, operate, and oversee scoreboards, cameras, replay systems, audio equipment, media servers, and control-room equipment.
  • Manage approved sponsor content and advertising during assigned events.
  • Monitor event operations, resolve technical issues, and escalate requested changes or deviations to Enterprise Funds.
  • Complete post-event equipment shutdown, storage, and operational reporting.
• Student Supervision, Development & Safety
  • Supervise student workers and confirm they are properly assigned, prepared, and in position before each event.
  • Provide real-time instruction, coaching, feedback, and professional mentorship.
  • Assign student duties appropriate to their training and experience levels.
  • Address and report attendance, conduct, performance, injury, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure students do not operate equipment without authorized supervision.
• Communication, Documentation & Program Support
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact between Enterprise Funds and event stakeholders.
  • Communicate equipment failures, incidents, student concerns, and operational changes promptly.
  • Complete required incident and event documentation within established timelines.
  • Represent Enterprise Funds professionally when interacting with Athletics staff, venue personnel, sponsors, students, and families.
  • Participate in required training and provide feedback regarding student performance and program improvements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License (preferred).
• Previous FBISD Audio/Video Production Practicum student (preferred).
• Basic computing skills, including MS Office (required).
• Must pass FBISD fingerprinting and background clearance requirements.
• Must be available for Friday evening, Saturday, and occasional weekday evening events throughout the football, volleyball, and basketball seasons.
• Must complete all required FBISD onboarding and new-hire employment documentation through FBISD Taleo.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from FBISD athletic venues (required).

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in classrooms, offices, work stations, meeting rooms, and indoor/outdoor athletic venues.
• Position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying items weighing less than 40 pounds.
• Regular use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; and talking or hearing.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work involves everyday risks and discomforts requiring normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties.
• May work prolonged or irregular hours and must maintain emotional control under stress.
• All events are at FBISD home venues only; no travel to away games required.
• Work is performed during evening and weekend events, with frequency varying by athletic season.
• Subject to varying weather and noise conditions during live events.

This position requires regular, direct supervision of minor students (ages 14–18). All FBISD policies regarding interactions with minors apply at all times.

Pay

$40 per assigned athletic game and district event worked.
