Responsibilities
- Supervises the efficient and effective operation of assigned area(s).
- Supervises the work of assigned Environmental Services staff.
- Ensures the execution of appropriate environmental services in assigned area(s).
- Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or high school equivalency exam passage.
- 2 years of experience in hospital-based housekeeping.
- 2 years of experience as a Supervisor in any field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business or other related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience as a Supervisor of hospital-based housekeeping.
- 3 years of experience supervising hotel or hospital housekeepers.
- 2 years of experience in the operation/care of floor care equipment (i.e. high-speed buffer, auto-scrubber, rotary scrubber, wet/dry suction equipment, steamer etc.).
Physical Requirements
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
- Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
- Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
- Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
