About the role
The Supervisor Engineering will develop innovative and creative logistics solutions for new and existing customers to achieve a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Functions as the main customer contact for logistics design activities.
- Makes decisions related to all logistics designs and their applicability to customer requests.
- Develops and manages project plans for new account start-ups, including managing start-up operations, design, training, and technology.
- Determines material handling requirements.
- Ensures external and internal customer satisfaction.
- Interacts with RDL technology committees to ensure technologies support customers without adding unnecessary costs.
- Manages 1-2 projects at a time.
- Develops and enhances an implementation methodology usable as a template across industries and countries.
- Coaches and counsels employees on performance, sets performance standards, recommends pay actions, and handles other HR responsibilities.
- Develops and trains direct reports.
- Collects data and performs statistical analysis.
- Maps and documents processes, recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Applies company methodologies and tools to design transportation operations.
- Establishes performance measures.
- Assists in communications with internal and external customers to understand business requirements.
- Supports business development and helps create efficient designs and solution processes.
- Determines efficient resource utilization by analyzing driver and equipment utilization charts.
- Assists Operations Managers in implementing efficient and competitive solutions.
- Applies Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred; master’s degree in a related field.
- Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in Logistics/Transportation/Operations/Systems.
- Six Sigma Certification.
Pay
Pay Type: Salaried
Minimum Pay Range: $85,000
Maximum Pay Range: $88,000
The compensation offered may be influenced by experience, education, work location, market data, and internal equity. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan.
