Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership and coaching to create a motivated work environment where employees can excel.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds productivity expectations while ensuring the team are retaining customers by getting the job done right the first time.
  • The DC Supervisor oversees functional areas including shipping, receiving, cable cutting, transportation, and inventory control.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to demonstrate valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to provide proof of insurance.
  • High school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred Two years or more related high volume fast paced distribution operations experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to demonstrate “hands on” warehouse tasks as well as being active in the daily warehouse operations
  • Working knowledge of automated warehouse management system
  • A proven ability to lead others and motivate them to succeed in meeting customer’s needs
  • Build good partnerships with all areas of the organization by exhibiting excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Detailed oriented and a good problem solver
  • Ability to prioritize, organize effectively and work independently
  • Proven ability to handle change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
  • Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
