Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day leadership and coaching to create a motivated work environment where employees can excel.
- Consistently meets or exceeds productivity expectations while ensuring the team are retaining customers by getting the job done right the first time.
- The DC Supervisor oversees functional areas including shipping, receiving, cable cutting, transportation, and inventory control.
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to demonstrate valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to provide proof of insurance.
- High school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred Two years or more related high volume fast paced distribution operations experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to demonstrate “hands on” warehouse tasks as well as being active in the daily warehouse operations
- Working knowledge of automated warehouse management system
- A proven ability to lead others and motivate them to succeed in meeting customer’s needs
- Build good partnerships with all areas of the organization by exhibiting excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Detailed oriented and a good problem solver
- Ability to prioritize, organize effectively and work independently
- Proven ability to handle change management
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
- The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
