Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Assists Program Administrator with day-to-day oversight of residence.
- Supervises assigned direct support staff and those on shift, ensuring tasks are performed according to requirements.
- Observes and assists with tasks, implementing corrective actions when needed and reporting issues.
- Ensures appropriate supervision and protection of people supported in accordance with individual plans.
- Maintains and documents inventory and storage of supplies and medications.
- Serves as Facility Manager, conducting drills, completing checks, and managing financial ledgers.
- Supports interdisciplinary team meetings and completes incident reporting.
- Provides driver training and performs all duties of Lead RBT/LPT as needed.
Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Six months of supervisory or lead experience in I/DD, mental health, or related fields.
- Completion of State of California Direct Support Professional Training (DSPT) Year 1 and Year 2 courses.
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician and maintenance of certification.
- Group Home Administrator or Adult Residential Facility Administrator certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Familiarity with California’s Lanterman Act and Title 17 and 22 regulations.
- Completion of Facility Manager Training within 30 days of appointment.
- CPR/First Aid, Ukeru, and CPI certifications.
- Annual continuing education units (CEUs).
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Essential physical demands including frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and running on occasion.
