Supervisor, Construction, Transmission

About the role

The role involves supervising construction field management and construction inspection processes for transmission lines and substations in Massachusetts. The supervisor will directly supervise Transmission Construction Representatives and collaborate with various departments including Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, and other Transmission Group managers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of construction field management activities for Substation and Transmission Lines where contractor resources are utilized.
• Work effectively with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, other transmission business managers, CONVEX, Legal, Purchasing, and field staff to ensure the safe and timely completion of work meeting Eversource's quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Direct efforts to achieve world-class excellence regarding safe work practices and safety performance.
• Promote teamwork among and between all members of the Transmission and Distribution organizations in his/her jurisdiction and other internal groups.
• Be responsible for monitoring the safety and environmental performance of contractors.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of construction, maintenance, or related experience.
• Transmission Line and/or Substation construction experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience of both non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit employees preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or the equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of transmission construction, work practices, and safety requirements.
• Detailed knowledge of transmission power system operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Good human resource management and business planning skills.
• Working knowledge of information technology and Eversource's office automation and information systems.
• Good written and oral communications ability.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $130,100.00-$144,560.00. Salary is commensurate with experience.
