About the role

The role requires local presence in the Boston, MA area. The Construction Supervisor oversees and directs the execution of assigned construction projects to meet cost, quality, safety, and environmental compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively lead and direct the construction contractor workforce to ensure adherence to safety, security, design, and environmental compliance standards;
  • Work closely with the contractor workforce to develop a comprehensive Work Proposal, including construction work plan, detailed schedule, Safety & Health Plan, and outage plan;
  • Adequately identify and assign external resources to support the construction contract work plans, schedule, and budget;
  • Interface proactively with relevant parties to understand and fulfill contract program needs;
  • Participate in construction conference calls and meetings to provide weekly updates, crew activity reports, and other required information.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of supervisory experience in transmission/distribution, overhead line, or substation construction activities;
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, local, and applicable environmental rules and regulations;
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with self-direction and high motivation;
  • The ability to understand construction field issues, prints, specifications, schematics, one-line diagrams, and instructional information;
  • Detail-oriented focus on the small details;
  • Collaborative approach to team success.

Qualifications

Must have a deep understanding of construction standards, operating procedures, and work methods. Must also have a strong understanding of federal, state, OSHA, local, and applicable environmental rules and regulations.

$100,000 to $150,000 annually.
