Responsibilities
- Supervises EMR Coordinators, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
- Leads EMR support operations across Primary Care, ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant workflows.
- Prioritizes EMR initiatives, enhancements, and issue resolution with Primary Care and Information Services leadership.
- Drives standardization and optimization of clinical workflows, aligning EMR functionality with best practices and quality outcomes.
- Oversees EMR training and education programs, ensuring effective onboarding and ongoing competency development for providers and staff.
- Makes sure team performance, system trends, and user feedback are monitored to drive continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission) and organizational policies in all EMR-related activities.
- Serves as a key liaison and influencer, collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders to align EMR strategies with clinical, operational, and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred) and clinical documentation workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into system functionality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required, including EMR and/or informatics experience.
- Experience supporting clinical workflows and system optimization required.
- Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
