Supervisor Clinical EMR Liaison

Responsibilities

• Supervises EMR Coordinators, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
• Leads EMR support operations across Primary Care, ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant workflows.
• Prioritizes EMR initiatives, enhancements, and issue resolution with Primary Care and Information Services leadership.
• Drives standardization and optimization of clinical workflows, aligning EMR functionality with best practices and quality outcomes.
• Oversees EMR training and education programs, ensuring effective onboarding and ongoing competency development for providers and staff.
• Makes sure team performance, system trends, and user feedback are monitored to drive continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission) and organizational policies in all EMR-related activities.
• Serves as a key liaison and influencer, collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders to align EMR strategies with clinical, operational, and organizational goals.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred) and clinical documentation workflows.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into system functionality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required, including EMR and/or informatics experience.
• Experience supporting clinical workflows and system optimization required.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
