Job Summary

The Claim Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision and management of a team of Claim Analysts, enabling the team to meet its client and corporate commitments. The role includes achieving team quality, production, and service expectations; staff development; implementation of new clients into the unit; and retention of existing clients. The Unit Leader also answers complex or difficult claim questions and works collaboratively with the department manager to ensure all department goals are met.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years claim processing experience.
• Self‑directed individual who works well with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees/members, providers, clients, and all levels of co‑workers, including Client Managers.
• Ability to follow oral, written, or diagram instructions using common sense.
• Effective problem‑solving skills in varied situations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
• Flexibility and openness to continued process improvement.
• Ability to learn new/proprietary systems, adapt to various platforms, and effectively use MS Excel/Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with self‑funded insurance/benefits and/or TPA.

Pay

Annual salary range: $42,200.00 – $79,300.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
