Supervisor, Central Sterile Services

About the role

The Central Sterile Supervisor at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the sterilization of medical equipment, providing guidance and leadership to personnel, managing department inventory, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sterilization of medical equipment
• Guide, lead, and supervise personnel in sterilizing equipment
• Set up standardized treatment trays
• Maintain sterilization-related equipment and documentation
• Function as a leader, preceptor, and educator
• Manage and maintain department inventory and equipment
• Collaborate with surgical team to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures
• Aid the leader in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards
• Develop and implement training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team members

Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• Related experience - 3 years
• Preferred: CRCST certification
