About the Role
Crouse Health, a leading healthcare provider in Central New York since 1887, is hiring a Supervisor for the Sterile Reprocessing team. This role works under the direct supervision of the department Manager and is responsible for staffing, work assignments, policy enforcement, and maintaining inventory and equipment in a customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Attends and actively participates in hospital or medical performance improvement councils and committees as requested.
- Proactively communicates with staff, keeping them informed of policy changes and updates.
- Develops and utilizes department policy statements, scope of service, quality indicators, and updates; revises as necessary.
- Performs staff management functions, including employee selection, on-boarding/orientation, coaching/development, staffing, work assignments, performance management, and goal alignment.
- Delegates work assignments daily, identifies priorities, and adjusts assignments based on immediate needs.
- Oversees special projects, including revisions to instrument trays, carts, preventative maintenance programs, and departmental procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in a medical or business field preferred.
- Graduate of a Sterile Processing Technician program.
- Certificate in Sterile Processing as a Technician required; certification must be maintained throughout employment.
- Five (5) years’ experience as a central service technician with exposure in all areas of the department.
- Supervisory-level experience in a Sterile Processing Department preferred.

Pay
$68,000 plus, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Full-time, 3:00pm – 11:30pm (Evenings).
