About the role
The Supervisor, Center Administration plans and directs the work of professional and support personnel who provide outpatient care to patients in a clinical setting. This role works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures, using independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems. The Supervisor collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selecting methods, techniques, and analytical approaches.
The role helps develop and leads implementation for staffing plans, policies, and procedures for the facility and works closely with clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Decisions typically relate to scheduling, plans, and daily operations. The Supervisor performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature and supervises a group of support and technical associates, providing day-to-day oversight. They ensure consistency in execution across the team and hold team members accountable for following established policies.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct the work of professional and support personnel in a clinical outpatient setting.
- Develop and implement staffing plans, policies, and procedures for the facility.
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and provide oversight to a team of support and technical associates.
- Ensure consistency in team execution and hold team members accountable to policies.
- Use independent judgment to analyze and solve problems.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of operational leadership experience in a clinical office setting.
- Direct leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams.
- Proven interpersonal skills to interface effectively with a wide range of people, including physicians and office staff.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Provider Communities.
- Medicare knowledge.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMRs) or Health Information Management (HIMs) systems.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for business presentations.
- A high level of engagement and emotional intelligence.
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Population Health Strategy.
- Managed care experience.
- Value-Based Care knowledge.
- Proven ability to function effectively in a matrix management environment and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Solid understanding of medical care delivery, managed care financial arrangements, and reimbursement.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a budget of $500,000+.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Overtime may be required as needed.
- Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
This role is considered patient-facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.
Pay
The pay range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The range may vary based on geographic location, and individual pay will depend on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
$58,700 - $70,400 per year.
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
