About the Role

Plans and directs the work of professional and support personnel who provide outpatient care to patients in a clinical setting. Works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. Reports to the Associate Operations Director.

Develops and leads the implementation of staffing plans, policies, and procedures for the facility. Works closely with clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Makes decisions related to scheduling, planning, and daily operations, as well as handles escalated or more complex issues. Supervises a team of support and technical associates, providing day-to-day coordination and oversight. Ensures consistency in execution across the team and holds team members accountable for adhering to established policies.

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Candidates selected for this role will be required to be screened for TB and adhere to Humana's flu vaccine policy. Current CPR certification is required. Associates working in the State of Florida will need ACHA Level II Background clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement staffing plans, policies, and procedures for the facility.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Make decisions related to scheduling, planning, and daily operations.
  • Handle escalated or more complex issues.
  • Supervise a team of support and technical associates, providing day-to-day coordination and oversight.
  • Ensure consistency in execution across the team and hold team members accountable for adhering to established policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a multi-physician office or clinical group setting, including front-office management and clinical operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and support associate development through coaching and mentorship.
  • Primary Care experience, full-risk Value-Based Care (VBC) experience, understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMRs) or Health Information Management (HIMs) systems and knowledge of several software tools.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively both internally and externally with a wide range of people including physicians, office staff, hospital executives, medical groups, IPAs, community organizations, and other health plan staff.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • ACHA Level II Background clearance for associates working in the State of Florida.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; or, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of healthcare administration and/or leadership experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Population Health Strategy.
  • Familiarity with Medicare.
  • Experience managing a budget of $500,000 or more.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

Pay

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

$58,700 - $70,400 per year.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
