SUPERVISOR CASH APPLICATIONS AND CASH POSTING
About the role
The Cash Applications Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the Cash Applications team to ensure quality and accurate completion of assigned work in cash receipts, payment posting, cash reconciliation. Scope includes all LifeBridge Health facilities.
Responsibilities
- Supports management in leading, training and providing guidance to assigned Cash Application personnel.
- Train new employees on policies and procedures.
- Actively monitor open and unresolved requests and issues. Ensure resolution and follow up as needed.
- Maintain productivity, quality and workflow and reports to Management.
- Perform lockbox and electronic funds transfer processing and assigns work to staff.
- Payment posting and credit resolution as primary function or in a backup role as needed to support adherence to the operating standards.
- Audits and reviews posting on a routine basis to ensure accuracy.
- Aids in month end reporting.
- Maintains websites and user’s access.
- Properly indexes to each patient’s account.
- Assists in identifying and processing refunds timely.
- Work with Manager and staff providing guidance and assistance in Identifying posting issues resulting in credit balances.
- Provide coverage to promote teamwork for critical functions when necessary to meet patient and departmental needs.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree preferred in health-related field with relevant work experience in a clinical setting
- Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience
