Position Summary

The incumbent is responsible for creating an exciting environment for guests and team members, managing cash operations, and ensuring compliance with IGC regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Daily supervision of Cash Operations
  • Assumes responsibility for the cage operation in the absence of the Shift Manager - Cage
  • Responsible for control and account activities within the assigned shifts
  • Maintains compliance with IGC regulations and adherence to company cage policies
  • Promotes good customer relations and provides excellent customer response to complaints
  • Verifies all required transactions as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assists with input of credit information in the absence of Credit
  • Processes wire transfers and cash equivalents as outlined in the standard operating procedures
  • Enrolls patrons
  • Trains, supervises, coaches, and counsels as appropriate
  • Assists with balancing all areas as needed and cage summary
  • Verifies bank deposit
  • Orders funds needed
  • Complies with all Indiana Gaming Commission regulations
  • Adheres to internal controls and standard operating procedures
  • Adheres to AML/Title 31 regulations
  • In an emergency, assists with the performance of the drop process but cannot buy the drop for that gaming day

Education and Experience Requirements

  • One to five years progressive cage management experience preferred
  • Two plus years of casino experience required

Additional Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of state and local tax laws, gaming laws, and banking regulations
  • Knowledge of currency reporting requirements
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to delegate responsibility and motivate and supervise a diverse group of team members
  • Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations

Skills

  • Use of computer keyboard, telephone, coin machine, 10-key, computers, check encoder, microfiche, and microfilmer
  • Communicate effectively with subordinates, coworkers, and management
  • Count and separate varying denominations of vouchers and currency
  • Perform basic mathematical functions
  • Motivate and direct the performance of subordinates
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Attend seminars when needed
