About the Role

This is a professional position providing supervisory oversight for field-based adult outpatient services in the Outpatient Services Division. Field-based adult outpatient services include counseling, Care Coordination, and/or case management for Pinellas County Department of Health referrals, St. Petersburg College referrals, and adult outpatient clinic clients in need of Targeted Case Management Services.

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Integration-Field Based will play an integral role in supporting, coaching, and guiding a team of counselors, care coordinators, and case managers serving adults with mental health and substance use needs. The supervisor will ensure that counseling and behavioral health case management services are individualized, recovery-focused, and empower individuals to manage their own recovery and advocacy process.

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Integration-Field Based will serve as a subject matter expert on counseling, care coordination, and targeted case management interventions that utilize natural supports, community resources, and collaboration with other professional agencies. The supervisor will ensure all services emphasize individualized, strength-based treatment planning developed collaboratively with the client and their natural and community supports.

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Integration-Field Based will ensure that counselors, care coordinators, and case managers provide appropriate recommendations and referrals to other service providers (e.g., psychiatry, SOAR) and collaborate with other clinical service providers. The supervisor is responsible for driving superior performance regarding these responsibilities, agency policies, practices, and standards, including ensuring staff meet required Client Service Levels. Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly, and annual client service levels is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory oversight for field-based adult outpatient services, including counseling, Care Coordination, and case management
  • Support, coach, and guide a team of counselors, care coordinators, and case managers
  • Ensure services are individualized, recovery-focused, and strength-based
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on counseling, care coordination, and targeted case management interventions
  • Facilitate collaboration with natural supports, community resources, and other professional agencies
  • Ensure appropriate recommendations and referrals to other service providers (e.g., psychiatry, SOAR)
  • Drive superior performance regarding agency policies, practices, and standards
  • Ensure staff meet required Client Service Levels (weekly, monthly, and annual)

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university
  • At least 2 years of experience working with adults with severe or persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders (e.g., substance use disorder), or other physical health conditions
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
  • 1-3 years of documented experience managing co-located field teams across multiple locations
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW preferred
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred
  • Willingness to provide essential services during emergencies, pandemics, or disasters
