Responsibilities

  • Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity, and accountability.

  • Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short and long-term goals/priorities for the department.

  • Assists with the development and oversight of behavioral health programs, work plans, and reports.

  • Aids in the development and documentation of regulatory and departmental compliance desktop procedures.

  • Maintains knowledge of current regulatory requirements and industry trends.

  • Works cross-functionally to assist with review and revise policies and procedures to ensure NCQA, DMHC, CMS, and DHCS regulatory compliance.

  • Supports licensed clinicians as needed by helping to complete telephone BH assessments and triage for members with BH needs.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to departmental staff, internal departments, and affiliated health networks regarding clinical/care management.

  • Trains and supervises a team of licensed BH Clinicians and non-licensed staff.

  • Provides clinical consultation to the team.

  • Collaborates with other supervisors and managers in the department to improve processes and workflow.

  • Assists with hiring, reviewing, and setting goals for department and staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field of study PLUS 3 years of BH clinical experience required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be qualifying.

  • Current unrestricted California license required: Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD).

Qualifications

  • Experience in managed care environment, with specific experience in managing the BH benefit.

  • Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and industry trends.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and identify opportunities for internal and external collaboration.

  • Ability to motivate and lead multi-program teams and external committees/coalitions.

  • Knowledge of computer and appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay

Pay Grade: 313 - $90,820 - $145,312 ($43.66 - $69.8615). The final salary offered will be based on education, job-related knowledge and experience, skills relevant to the role and internal equity among other factors.

Schedule

This position is approved for Full Telework (**If the position is Telework, it is eligible in California only**).
