Supervisor, AMI Field Services
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with Company, regulatory, and industry safety standards.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of field employees with varying technical skillsets, including performance management and coaching.
- Establish and enforce clear expectations regarding adherence to Company policies, departmental procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and expedite field work related to billing disputes and meter investigations to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Cook up and execute daily field assignments and routing in collaboration with Scheduling to optimize productivity and resource utilization.
- Inspect and audit completed work to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, as well as Company standards.
- Partner with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely meter installations.
- Ensure compliance with PUC-mandated meter testing and replacement programs.
- Support and align with broader operational plans to maintain continuity of work.
- Develop and implement training programs to advance employee knowledge in metering technology, safety, and field practices.
- Lead and support storm restoration efforts.
- Effectively manage within a union environment, including adherence to collective bargaining agreements and handling labor relations matters.

Education And Experience
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- A university / college degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in meter operations, electric utility field work, or a related technical environment preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of meter installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices preferred.
- Working knowledge of field service platforms and customer information systems preferred.
- A valid PA Class C Driver’s License preferred.
- A proven ability to plan, prioritize, and assign work, while managing performance and productivity preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Licensed Electrician or significant hands-on electrical field experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience, ideally leading field-based teams preferred.
- Experience managing or working within a unionized workforce, including knowledge of labor agreements and practices preferred.
- An advanced knowledge of electric metering systems, AMI/AMR technologies, and field diagnostics preferred.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) regulations preferred.

Hybrid Work Position
Follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
Storm Roles
All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Please be sure to discuss storm roles with the hiring manager for this position, as duties can vary across the Company.
Examples of storm roles could include but aren't limited to duties such as: working with operations for service center support or with the communications, customer service or government affairs teams to respond to public and customer requests for information, etc.
Data Governance
Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
