About the role

The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable at RB Global is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specified Accounts Receivable department and may support other Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Accounts Receivable departments globally.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient and smooth execution of accounts receivable processes including uploading and processing of auction sale and non-sale related transactions, posting of payments, invoicing, and collections
  • Maintains and monitors outstanding receivables and ensures that collection is within terms and conditions of sale. Refer accounts to collection agency in coordination with sale sites after exhausting recovery initiatives
  • Proactively investigates and resolves accounts receivable related issues independently and/or in collaboration with sale site managers
  • Ensures that the accounts receivable sub-ledger and accounts receivable clearing accounts are reconciled to the general ledger
  • Prepares and reviews monthly financial reports for Manager
  • Ensures appropriate authorizations are compliant with internal controls and policies
  • Ensures that procedures are within SOX compliance guidelines
  • Affords assistance with internal and external audits
  • Supervises, trains, and mentors a team of 2 – 4 administrators with customer-facing responsibilities, maximizing individual strengths, and striving for excellence in customer service
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, promoting, and performance management of team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in Accounts Receivable's
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Customer service experience required
  • Effective leadership, proven ability to supervise in a team environment
  • Creative problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize in a demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with ERP systems

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, and qualifications.
