Supervisor, Accounting
Job Summary
The Supervisor of Accounting provides day-to-day work guidance for accounting team members and uses a combination of knowledge and experience to provide technical direction. Provides expertise through integrating Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organizational and team objectives. Must have working knowledge of accounting principles and standards. Requires comprehensive understanding of enterprise financial systems and interdependencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related degree with an Accounting minor required. Accounting degree is preferred.
- Must have at least four years of related work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must understand relationships between all Sanford subsidiaries.
- Must be self-directed, autonomous and yet be able to work well with multiple individuals at all levels on a regular basis.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills and abilities.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or other professional certification is desirable but not required.
