Responsibilities
- Administer medication and other prescribed treatments
- Take vital signs
- Absorb and report on consumer conditions and behaviors
- Participate in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers
- Oversee work of other support staff
- Communicate with doctors, consumers, and families, and educate consumers on care
- May provide transport to offsite appointments and apply restraints when necessary
- May perform some security-related functions in the mental health care setting
- Supervise and schedule direct care staff for ISL group homes
- Communicate with doctors, clients, and families, and educate clients on care
- As part of a treatment team, observe behavior and participate in habilitation programs
- May provide transport to offsite appointments and apply restraints, when necessary
- Schedule training for Support Care staff
- Prepare reports, track leave requests, and assist in ISL group homes/SOP with staffing/programming, etc., as necessary
- Accountable for administering medications and other prescribed treatment such as taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, etc.
- Provide coverage in ISL Group Homes as needed to meet consumer staffing needs
- May perform some security-related functions in a mental health care setting
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of facility practices, rules, and regulations; methods and techniques of supervision
- Ability to maintain records, schedules, and reports
- Must pass background screening
- Two to four years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed)

Schedule
