About the Role

This is a Supervising Registered Nurse II position located at the California State Prison - Los Angeles in Lancaster, CA, in Los Angeles County. The role is a limited-term position that may be extended or become permanent.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) requires full-time employees in Bargaining Unit 17 and related Excluded, Exempt, and Statutory Exempt employees to have their base salary reduced by 3% and receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area.
  • Receive, disseminate, implement, and monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Apply supervisory rules and principles to resolve personnel issues.
  • Set goals for self and others to ensure the continuity of quality patient care.
  • Actively participate in and support the Complete Care Model.

California State Prison, Los Angeles County (LAC) is located in Lancaster, CA, 45 miles north of Los Angeles.
