About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Supervising Psychologist to provide supervision to Psych Students. This position can be remote or Hybrid (Huntington Beach or Anaheim, CA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to psych students ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices in mental health care
  • Oversee clinical assessments, psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for a diverse patient population
  • Review and co-sign all documentation of your psych students
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records, patient documentation, and intake assessments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Keep the clinical director and lead supervisor apprised of issues related to supervision
  • Maintain accurate records and productivity standards, including correspondence, progress notes, written reports, and other documentation
  • Manage documentation electronically using TherapyNotes EHR
  • Report suspected child abuse or other safety issues, as required by law and agency policies
  • Abide by professional confidentiality guidelines and remain in good standing with the BOP
  • Provide support for IMFCP staff as needed

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution
  • PsyD or PhD
  • Must be licensed in the state of California
  • Completion of an approved 6 hour supervision course within the last 2 years
  • Willing to be credentialed and added to our insurance panels/insurance contracts
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must have a working knowledge of ICD-10 codes.
  • Working knowledge of PC/Mac-based office applications
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record system desirable
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Works well in an interdisciplinary team setting
  • Able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Must be flexible and motivated
  • Communicates effectively and sensitively with diverse populations
  • Multi-cultural knowledge and competency
  • Multi-language skills highly desirable but not required

Insightful Matters is actively seeking to add a Supervising Psychologist so we can add psych students and provide assessment services.
