SUPERVISING PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORKER II, CORRECTIONAL FACLTY

Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, under the direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, Program Strategy & Development, the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker II (SPSW II) provides statewide clinical and administrative leadership and support for Social Work internship and training programs.

• Collaborates and develops recruitment and training opportunities for Clinical Social Workers statewide.

Statewide Travel

Statewide travel up to 20% is required for this position.

Recruitment and Retention Stipends

• Eligible for a $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend if meeting eligibility criteria, including but not limited to remaining employed with CCHCS for six months.
• Eligible for a monthly recruitment and retention differential totaling $20,000 during the first year with CCHCS, if meeting eligibility criteria.

Referral Bonus

• Eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus if selected for hire and remain employed with CCHCS for 90 days. Requires completion of a questionnaire including the referring employee's name, classification, PERNR, and work location.

This position is located in the Mental Health Program. The program’s mission is to provide ethical, professional, and effective mental health care services for patients within all of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s institutions statewide.
