Supervising Pharmacist
Scope of Responsibilities
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
Responsible for the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Relying on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Job Summary
Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.
Responsible for the overall management of the Pharmacy Department.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
- Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed
- Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
- Adheres to all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
- Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs
- Oversees and is responsible for the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
- Oversees and is responsible for checking pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns
- Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
- Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to ensure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
- Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
- Affixes to all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
- Affixes in-store pharmacy technology to its fullest potential to ensure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
- Affixes outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times

- Affixes oversight responsibilities to ensure store is compliant with all state and federal regulations and requirements

Qualifications
- Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
- Experience: Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
- Certified immunizer
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist
Special Conditions Of Employment
- Drug test
- Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
- Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
Compensation
$108,160.00 - $143,794.00 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
