Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
  • Train and develop subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, and ensure completion dates are met.
  • Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Implement and adhere to the Kinney Standard of Practice for high-quality healthcare service.
  • Manage the Pharmacy Department, ensuring adherence to standards for dispensing prescriptions and counseling patients.
  • Perform all quality assurance steps to ensure technically accurate prescriptions are dispensed.
  • Report dispensing incidents in a timely manner, following company guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
  • Oversee the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims.
  • Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while meeting customer needs.
  • Oversee the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers.
  • Check pharmacy inventory for outdates and process all returns.
  • Ensure prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure in-store pharmacy technology is used to its fullest potential for maximum return on investment.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
  • Enforce all Loss Prevention policies and report deviations.
  • Assist in implementing corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Maintain the pharmacy department to provide a clean, professional, and safe environment.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with doctors and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay updated on developments in the Pharmacy and Healthcare Services fields and integrate them into practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information.
  • Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Assist in developing an annual pharmacy department operating budget and operate within budgetary guidelines.
  • Interact with the Store Manager on hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
  • Assign duties and assist in scheduling Pharmacy staff to meet payroll and productivity budget guidelines.
  • Train and develop all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
  • Communicate corporate goals to all pharmacy department personnel.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required Kinney training and management programs.
  • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Ensure store compliance with all state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of a shift.
  • Certified immunizer.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacist.

Special Conditions of Employment include drug testing, initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring, and additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.

Pay

$108,160.00 - $143,794.00 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
