Supervisor Pharmacist
Overview
The Supervisor Pharmacist provides quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians, nurses, and other health professionals in accordance with established professional standards. They assist the Pharmacy Manager with daily operations.
Responsibilities
Operational (35%): Processes orders in a timely and accurate manner within established department standards. Demonstrates good aseptic technique and prepares sterile preparations in compliance with USP 797 and USP 800.
Clinical (20%): Performs clinical interventions based on P&T approved protocols and clinical judgment. Supplies drug information and consultations to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.
Quality / Performance Improvement (10%): Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives in the department.
Regulatory / Professional Standards (10%): Complies with regulatory and professional standards. Provides recommendations for improvement in these areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- One year hospital experience
- Active Pharmacist License in the state of New Jersey
- Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Compensation
$126,750 - $215,480 per year. The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range. Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
