About the role
A historically successful, but still growing, electrical construction organization is seeking a Supervising Lead Engineer to oversee engineering, BIM/VDC coordination, and project execution across complex commercial, infrastructure, mission-critical, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and BIM/VDC efforts on complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through installation.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including design consultants, construction teams, field personnel, and fabrication groups.
- Manage BIM execution plans, project models, coordination workflows, and digital construction standards.
- Oversee Revit model development, model integration, and project-wide coordination activities.
- Lead coordination meetings and clash detection efforts, ensuring timely issue resolution and constructability reviews.
- Direct shop drawing production and review processes while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Cookordination model-to-fabrication workflows to support prefabrication and efficient project delivery.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, bulletins, engineering documentation, and project reporting.
- Maintain schedules, resource utilization, engineering deliverables, and project milestones.
- Collaborate closely with field operations and project management teams to support successful project execution.
- Maintain project data, reports, and tracking tools to provide visibility into progress, priorities, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction engineering, BIM coordination, VDC, project engineering, or related construction technology roles.
- Previous experience leading project teams, coordination efforts, or engineering staff.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction processes and project delivery workflows.
- Experience managing BIM coordination and multidisciplinary construction models.
- Understanding of shop drawing development, fabrication processes, and construction documentation.
- Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
