Supervising Immigration Attorney

About the role

A boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join and help lead its immigration practice. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom experience, sound legal judgment, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage complex cases and supervise legal staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle removal defense, asylum, family-based, employment-based, and naturalization matters.
• Represent clients in Immigration Court, USCIS interviews, and administrative proceedings.
• Prepare and review motions, briefs, appeals, applications, declarations, and supporting evidence.
• Develop case strategy and manage deadlines and filings.
• Supervise and mentor attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients and contribute to practice development.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. bar license and good standing.
• 5+ years of immigration law experience preferred.
• Strong experience in removal defense, asylum, and family-based immigration.
• Excellent research, writing, oral advocacy, and organizational skills.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, or other relevant language skills are a plus.
