As a Supervising Electrical Engineer in our New York, NY office, you will represent the firm in client, contractor, architect, and project team interactions while supervising and coordinating project assignments for your team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead coordination meetings.
• Lead and supervise staff members in their tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Provide periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluations.
• Act as “Engineer of Record” on dedicated projects.
• Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in business unit technical training and staff mentoring.
• Coordinate and assign projects to the engineering team (e.g., system design and project engineering).
• Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
• Manage Construction Administrative duties (e.g., field reports, RFI responses, Bulletins, Addenda).
• Coordinate with accounting to prepare monthly project invoices and monitor accounts receivable.
• Monitor all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, and owners.
• Participate in and contribute to the firmwide Expert Teams committee.
• Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including add-service agreements.
• Supervise the preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in a consulting firm, with a background in the MEP Engineering industry (Senior-level role).
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience (required to direct staff).
• PE registration is required.
• Experience with Critical Facilities and Healthcare projects is preferred.

Pay

New York Pay Range: $120,150–$180,226 USD.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: Monday–Thursday in-office (9 hours/day), Friday remote (4 hours/day).
