Location: McKinney, Texas (US-TX-MCKINNEY-513WC, 2501 W University Dr, WING C BLDG). This is an onsite role.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active and transferable U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date.

About the Role

The Advanced Radar Products Department empowers people to deliver innovative, affordable, and producible products and technologies to support airborne Radar solutions throughout the full product lifecycle while remaining accountable for program execution cost, schedule, and performance. We provide best-in-industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customers and end-users.

As an Electrical Engineer II supporting production, you will be part of a team of highly talented engineers working on highly complex Radar products and test sets. You will work as a member of a production support team under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Managing component obsolescence identification and mitigation.
  • Troubleshooting test sets down to component level, including analog and digital interfaces and software.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels, including analog, digital, RF, power circuitry, and interfaces.
  • Working in a team environment to ensure production and sustainment timelines are maintained.
  • Analyzing test data of products to ensure test specifications are met.
  • Reading, interpreting, and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with electronics and electrical circuits, as well as the ability to isolate failures to root cause.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with supplier engagement.
  • Experience documenting test results and engineering recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics, Matlab, or PSPICE.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with leadership and colleagues.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
