Job Responsibilities
- Represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
- Supervise, coordinate, and assign various projects to be performed by the team.
- Provide periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluations.
- Act as “Engineer of Record” on dedicated projects.
- Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in business unit technical training and staff mentoring.
- Coordinate and assign various projects to be performed by the engineering team (i.e., system design and project engineering).
- Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
- Lead and supervise staff members as they perform their tasks.
- Manage Construction Administrative duties, such as field reports, responses to RFIs, processing Bulletins and Addenda, etc. (PM).
- Coordinate with accounting to prepare monthly project invoices.
- Maintain project accounts receivable and contact the client as needed to expedite payment.
- Monitor all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, Owners, etc.
- Participate in and contribute to the firmwide Expert Teams committee.
- Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
- Prepare proposals and administer project contracts between Syska Hennessy Group and the client, including add service agreements.
- Supervise and lead coordination meetings.
- Supervise the preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditions.
Job Requirements
- A current PE registration.
- Experience in Healthcare design.
- Experience working with projects such as Healthcare, Federal, Critical Facilities, Commercial, and Aviation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution.
- 7+ years of Project Management experience.
- 10+ years’ experience working in a consulting firm.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience.
