We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections if posting has real specific content. We need to parse the job posting. Key info: - Title: Supervising Deputy County Counsel-Tax and Finance (but we do not repeat title as heading). - Post Date, Closing Date, Salary: $212,804.80 - $258,668.80 Annually. - Description: long paragraph about Office of County Counsel, role, supervising, providing legal advice, etc. - Ideal Candidate: description of ideal candidate. - Qualifications: bullet points? It says: Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California; AND, Two (2) years of experience as a Principal Deputy County Counsel Attorney in the County of San Diego, or at an equivalent level with another California county or city, handling above average difficult and complex cases; OR, Seven (7) years of professional, post-bar civil legal experience as an attorney. Previous experience must have included serving as an attorney handling civil law matters and/or cases in a public or private sector law office. Note: Experience with a public entity representing public boards and commissions, preparing and trying public entity lawsuits, and drafting ordinances, policies, and public contracts is highly desirable. To be considered for this position, please provide your CA Bar number or attach a copy of your California Bar Card to your application. - Notes: Please attach a copy of your resume to your application. Please attach a concise substantive legal writing sample to your application. Also Required Positions may involve necessary and timely transportation for field travel, requiring the ability to arrange transportation to different worksites, meetings, or field work. Must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency. Prior to appointment, candidates will be subject to a background investigation. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning, duplicated lines, application instructions. However, we need to preserve substantive info. The notes about attaching resume and writing sample are application instructions; we should remove them? The instruction says: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So we should remove the lines about attaching resume and writing sample. Also "Also Required Positions may involve necessary and timely transportation for field travel..." is not an application instruction but a job requirement; we keep that. We need to decide sections. We have: - About the role: could be the description paragraph(s) about Office of County Counsel, role, supervising, providing legal advice, etc. - Responsibilities: could be the specific duties: advising on treasury, tax collection, etc., litigating petitions, providing advisory and litigation support for other departments, advising on election process, public finance, local tax, general governance, advising local legislative bodies, drafting ordinances and resolutions. - Requirements: maybe the qualifications (Bar membership, experience). Or we could separate Qualifications and Requirements. The instruction says use headings for Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide what content fits each. We have qualifications: Bar membership, years experience, etc. Also note about public entity experience desirable. We have skills: maybe ideal candidate traits: analytical thinker, articulate, excellent legal research and writing, courtroom presence, ability to work in team, supervising experience, handling complex cases. We have Pay: salary range given. We have Benefits: not mentioned explicitly. No benefits info. So we should not create Benefits section. Schedule: not mentioned. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule. Thus we will have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Pay. We need to ensure we don't create empty sections. Now we need to extract content. About the role: The description paragraph(s) before "Ideal Candidate". Let's capture: "The Office of County Counsel is a full-service law office, tasked with handling the County’s civil law needs, including proactive participation in all phases of government decision making and a very active and successful trial litigation program. The Supervising Deputy County Counsel will supervise a section or team of assigned staff of the County Counsel’s Office and/or handle the most difficult and complex caseloads or assignments. This position provides legal advice to County officials on matters primarily involving finance and governance issues and advocates on behalf of the County of San Diego, as well as its officers and departments’ employees, by representing them in civil litigation in state and federal courts as well as before administrative tribunals. The attorneys in this position are part of a dedicated section that provides a broad range of legal advice and litigation support to departments in the County’s Finance and General Government Group such as the Treasurer/Tax Collector, Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk, Auditor and Controller, Chief Administrative Office, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Office of Economic and Government Affairs, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Office of Financial Planning, and Registrar of Voters. The attorney in this position is expected to be primary advisory and litigation support for Treasurer/Tax Collector, including: (1) advising on issues related to the treasury, tax collection, tax penalties and cancellation, property tax sales, excess proceeds, transit occupancy tax, documentary transfer tax and cannabis tax and (2) litigating petitions to set aside tax sales, petitions related to excess proceeds, and bankruptcy proceedings. This attorney will provide advisory and litigation support as needed for the other departments in the Finance and General Government Group." That seems like role description. Responsibilities: Could be the list of topics attorneys may advise and represent on: (i) election process, (ii) public finance, (iii) local tax, (iv) general governance, plus advising local legislative bodies, drafting County ordinances and resolutions. Also maybe supervising staff. We can combine supervising staff as responsibility. Thus responsibilities bullet list: - Supervise a section or team of assigned staff and/or handle the most difficult and complex caseloads or assignments. - Provide legal advice to County officials on finance and governance issues. - Represent the County, its officers, departments, and employees in civil litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative tribunals. - Provide primary advisory and litigation support for the Treasurer/Tax Collector, including advising on treasury, tax collection, tax penalties and cancellation, property tax sales, excess proceeds, transit occupancy tax, documentary transfer tax, cannabis tax; litigating petitions to set aside tax sales, petitions related to excess proceeds, and bankruptcy proceedings. - Provide advisory and litigation support as needed for other departments in the Finance and General Government Group. - Advise and represent on federal, state, and local laws regarding: election process (voter registration, voting systems, poll worker employment/training, ballot processing, vote tallying); public finance (Budget Act, bond issuances, setting fees for local services, management of County investment pool); local tax (assessment, billing, collection of property tax, transient occupancy tax, cannabis tax, documentary transfer tax); general governance (Brown Act, California Public Records Act, conflicts of interest, political activities, record retention). - Advise local legislative bodies and draft County ordinances and resolutions. We need to ensure we preserve all substantive info; we can break into bullet list. Requirements: Could be the qualifications about Bar membership and experience? But we have separate Qualifications heading. Perhaps Requirements are the mandatory qualifications (Bar membership, experience). Qualifications could be desirable qualifications (public entity experience, supervising experience, etc.). However the posting lumps them together. We need to decide. Given instruction: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can have both Requirements and Qualifications. We need to split content logically. Requirements (mandatory): - Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California. - Either: Two (2) years of experience as a Principal Deputy County Counsel Attorney in the County of San Diego, or at an equivalent level with another California county or city, handling above average difficult and complex cases; OR Seven (7) years of professional, post-bar civil legal experience as an attorney. - Previous experience must have included serving as an attorney handling civil law matters and/or cases in a public or private sector law office. Qualifications (desirable/preferred): - Experience with a public entity representing public boards and commissions, preparing and trying public entity lawsuits, and drafting ordinances, policies, and public contracts is highly desirable. - Preferably, the candidate would have experience supervising other attorneys or legal staff and preparing and/or managing cases, complaints, or projects with a high degree of difficulty or complexity. - Ideal candidate traits: analytical thinker, able to accurately articulate the critical issues in a case; excellent legal research and writing skills; courtroom presence; ability to work in a supportive and professional team environment with other attorneys and support staff. But some of those ideal candidate traits could go under Skills. Skills: analytical thinking, articulation, legal research and writing, courtroom presence, teamwork, supervising experience, handling complex cases. We need to avoid duplication. Let's allocate: Requirements: Bar membership, experience options, civil law experience. Qualifications: Desirable public entity experience, supervising experience, managing high difficulty cases. Skills: Analytical thinker, articulation, legal research and writing, courtroom presence, ability to work in team environment. Pay: Salary range. We also have "Also Required Positions may involve necessary and timely transportation for field travel, requiring the ability to arrange transportation to different worksites, meetings, or field work. Must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency. Prior to appointment, candidates will be subject to a background investigation." These could be under Requirements or Qualifications? They are requirements: transportation ability, honesty/trustworthiness, background check, convictions. Could be under Requirements as additional requirements. We could add a subsection under Requirements: "Additional requirements: ability to arrange transportation for field travel; reputation for honesty and trustworthiness; subject to background investigation; misdemeanor/felony convictions may be disqualifying." We need to decide where to place. Given we have Requirements heading, we can include all mandatory items there. Thus Requirements will include: - Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California. - Ability to arrange transportation for field travel to different worksites, meetings, or field work. - Must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. - Subject to background investigation prior to appointment. - Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency. Qualifications (desirable): - Experience with a public entity representing public boards and commissions, preparing and trying public entity lawsuits, and drafting ordinances, policies, and public contracts is highly desirable. - Preferably, the candidate would have experience supervising other attorneys or legal staff and preparing and/or managing cases, complaints, or projects with a high degree of difficulty or complexity. Skills: - Analytical thinker, able to accurately articulate the critical issues in a case. - Excellent legal research and writing skills. - Courtroom presence. - Ability to work in a supportive and professional team environment with other attorneys and support staff. Pay: Salary $212,804.80 - $258,668.80 Annually. Now we need to output HTML fragment with

headings and
  • for lists,

for prose. We need to decide which content is prose vs list. About the role: could be a paragraph (or multiple paragraphs). We
