Supervising Correctional Cook, DOC-Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP)

Job Description and Duties

The Supervising Correctional Cook (SCC), Department of Corrections, under the general direction of the Food Administrator I, Correctional Facility, directs, trains, and supervises Cook Specialist I, CF staff and the incarcerated preparing and serving meals and storing food and supplies at the Diet Kitchen at a correctional facility. The SCC, DOC is responsible for maintaining culinary equipment in sanitary and clean working order, and maintaining the work area clean and orderly. The SCC, DOC interprets and verifies compliance with regulations that govern the sanitation and safety of all aspects of the food service program.

Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent to completion of the eighth grade. Additional information about the job can be found in the Duty Statement.

Working Conditions

Travel may be required.
