Supervising Clinician LCSW / LMFT

About the role

The Supervising Clinician oversees a team of Behavioral Health Therapists, Substance Use Disorder Counselors, Native American Life Skills Coaches, and Native American Youth Counselors at the respective site. This position is held concurrently with clinical practice in the respective specialty.

Responsibilities

• Administer time-off requests and oversee timesheet submissions;
• Respond to employee call-offs and coordinate schedules;
• Provide consultation for assessment and diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and group treatment interventions, discharge summaries, and case conceptualization;
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures;
• Select, assign, train, and monitor program staff;
• Facilitate continuing education and staff development;
• Conduct staff meetings and case conferences;
• Coach and support direct reports to meet productivity standards and client care expectations;
• Perform continuous quality improvement tasks and monitor program compliance;
• Manage caseload, conduct assessments, administer screening tools, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy services;
• Complete clinical documentation and maintain patient information;
• Communicate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience;
• Completion of supervisory training with the BBS;
• Experience providing counseling and/or case management services in a Substance Use Disorder treatment program;
• Knowledge of and aptitude for evidence-based practices for substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions;
• Leadership skills in supervising, coaching, and managing performance;
• Ability to respond to patient complaints and handle crisis situations;
• Competence in working with diverse populations, particularly Native Americans;
• Organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and analytical skills with attention to detail;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
• Reliable transportation, regular attendance, and travel as required;
• Ability to complete annual health screenings, including TB screening.
