Supervising Clinician

We are committed to improving accessibility while raising the standard of care. Supervising Clinicians are responsible for providing clinical supervision and training for unlicensed, graduate level and/or intern clinicians who provide outpatient mental health counseling and may also maintain a caseload of therapy clients. They conduct individual and group supervision, oversee clinical development of therapists in conjunction with Clinic Directors, and serve as organizational culture carriers accountable for promoting clinical excellence and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a blend of clinician supervision and therapy in person and/or via telehealth depending on client and supervisee needs.
- Provide individual and/or group supervision weekly to unlicensed clinicians.
- Ensure licensure supervision is held according to state regulations, payor contracts, and agency supervision policy.
- Provide supervision both live and/or via video conference, possibly across multiple sites within a market.
- Maintain board registration and other regulatory requirements needed to provide licensure supervision where required.
- Review clinical documentation of supervisee, including diagnosis, treatment plans, session notes, and related documents.
- Approve and sign session notes, treatment plans, and other documents where required by payor and/or licensure requirements.
- Complete and maintain records of supervision notes and supervision agreements in dedicated files; record sessions in the EHR and submit notes by the end of the day supervision was held.
- Assess clinicians across core competency areas; provide regular measurement and feedback.
- Use outcomes‑based measures and other data to inform supervision.
- Identify and monitor areas for performance improvement; report concerns regarding clinical skills, ethics, or compliance to the Clinic Director.
