About the role
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Superintendent to join our Supportive Housing team. The Building Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall physical condition of the supportive housing property. The Superintendent ensures that the building, apartments, common areas, mechanical systems, and grounds are properly maintained and that maintenance concerns are addressed promptly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance tasks including cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of the property
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Manage the property’s mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect the property regularly to identify and address maintenance issues
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for necessary repairs and upgrades
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the property
- Handle emergency situations and respond to maintenance calls
- Document all maintenance activities and communicate with residents as needed
Requirements
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
