About the role

The Superintendent will oversee construction projects in the property industry, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and coordinate site activities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
• Coordinate and oversee all work on site.
• Attend production meetings.
• Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, ensuring adherence to these.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Place orders for materials and be responsible for equipment and materials on site.
• Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
• Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
• Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
• Experience with scheduling.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
