Superintendent - Multifamily Block Construction

Client: A general contractor with over 35 years of experience and a strong reputation for building commercial and multifamily projects throughout Florida.

About the role

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a $40M multifamily project in Fort Myers (Block Construction).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and schedule.
• Prepare and manage the project budget.
• Serve as liaison between the owner and project team, providing all project updates.
• Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to ground-up construction.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with project engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Manage manpower planning, material deliveries, and equipment needs.
• Identify and resolve field issues promptly and effectively.
• Assist in coordinating inspections and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Report progress and field conditions to project management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in structural construction supervision with block construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and building codes.
• Must have block construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
• Collaborative attitude with field and office teams.
• Experience working on multifamily projects in Fort Myers.
