About the role

This is a General Construction (GC) position with a strong pipeline and proven promotion path. The environment is family-oriented and offers competitive pay and bonus structures.

Responsibilities

  • Knowing contract documents for proper planning of construction staffing, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
  • Coordinating with Pre-construction Services to prepare estimates, buyouts regarding methods, systems, schedule, and general conditions
  • Making and executing pre-planning activities for projects with subcontractors to ensure coordinated efforts
  • Coordinating subcontractors, architects, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve issues regarding methods or materials
  • Inspecting ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules
  • Documenting on-site activities in daily reports, including verbal directives, progress pictures, delays, weather conditions, and on-site manpower
  • Creating and updating a detailed construction phase schedule for the project, ensuring critical path activities and milestones are met
  • Developing a recovery plan to mitigate delays to the critical path of the project
  • Maintaining effective and professional relationships with the owner, architects, consulting engineers, and other project stakeholders
  • Assisting in monitoring and planning the quality control program
  • Ensuring a safe work environment, culture, and practices on the project

Requirements

  • Ground-up experience in multifamily construction (podium or stick-frame)
  • Strong mentoring and teaching skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, motivational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize, provide training to enhance team, evaluate staff strengths and weaknesses, and be an organized and disciplined thinker
  • Strong computer aptitude and mathematical background

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily construction (podium or stick-frame)

Skills

  • Knowledge of contract documents
