About the role
A permanent superintendent for multi-family (wood frame) projects in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all construction activities related to wood frame multi-family projects, ensuring that specifications and quality standards are met.
- Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet the project deadlines.
- Establish and manage relationships with team members, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure safety on the project site by implementing safety protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the work is progressing as per the schedule and that the workmanship meets the quality standards.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day field issues, conflicts, and discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit daily reports and other documentation, as required.
- Cookordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Monitor costs, including labor time and material.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing garden style, ground-up, wood frame construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and rules & regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills with an ability to lead a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to work.
- Proficient in construction software programs.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Demonstrated understanding of the building process, safety procedures, and regulations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
