About the role
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects throughout Northern Virginia and the greater DC Metro region. This role is ideal for a proven field leader who can independently manage large-scale projects, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive successful project execution from start to finish.

Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day on-site operations for commercial construction projects.
- Manage ground-up projects ranging from $20M to $140M+ in value.
- Coordinate project activities with owners, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct constructability reviews and proactively resolve jobsite challenges.
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor sequencing.
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with all OSHA requirements.
- Monitor project quality and oversee inspections to ensure work meets project standards.
- Complete daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
- Utilize construction technology platforms to track progress and communicate project updates.
- Support successful project completion while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
Requirements
- Experience working for a General Contractor.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
- Proven experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
- Ability to independently oversee large-scale projects, ideally up to $40M.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with owners and project teams.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction documents.
- Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam.
