About the role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects throughout Northern Virginia and the greater DC Metro region. This role is ideal for a proven field leader who can independently manage large-scale projects, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive successful project execution from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day on-site operations for commercial construction projects.
  • Manage ground-up projects ranging from $20M to $140M+ in value.
  • Coordinate project activities with owners, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and proactively resolve jobsite challenges.
  • Maintain project schedules and coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor sequencing.
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with all OSHA requirements.
  • Monitor project quality and oversee inspections to ensure work meets project standards.
  • Complete daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
  • Utilize construction technology platforms to track progress and communicate project updates.
  • Support successful project completion while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience working for a General Contractor.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
  • Proven experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
  • Ability to independently oversee large-scale projects, ideally up to $40M.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with owners and project teams.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam.
