Responsibilities

  • Alert Maintenance Coordinator of unusual occurrences and damages.
  • Carry pager/cell phone for 24-hour emergency on-call maintenance.
  • Maintain professional, courteous demeanor with dental office employees, vendors, contractors, and co-workers.
  • Timely complete payroll timesheets and mileage reimbursement forms and submit to Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and execute best practices.
  • Participate in Human Resources activities such as recruiting, selecting, developing talent, performance reviews, salary administration, etc. for subordinate team members.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced subordinate team members and create an environment for knowledge transfer and cross-training.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor performance of the assigned department to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Interact with Regional Partners, VPs, and Directors and provide information regarding job site status.
  • Cover all construction activities, including directing field personnel to achieve project goals, maintaining construction schedule, identifying and solving problems, ordering materials, scheduling inspections, understanding project plans and specifications, maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees, preparing and supervising the completion of a final punch list, promoting job site safety, encouraging safe work practices, rectifying job site hazards immediately, ensuring adherence to company safety policy, and maintaining an organized job site, including the construction office.
  • Perform tasks and labor related to the construction of a commercial building and interior improvements, including applying caulking compounds, building and positioning forms for pouring concrete, cleaning and preparing construction sites, controlling traffic, digging ditches or trenches, backfilling excavations, compacting and leveling earth to grade specifications, erecting and disassembling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures, grinding, scraping, sanding, or polishing surfaces, loading, unloading, and distributing building materials, machinery, and tools, measuring, marking, and recording openings and distances, mixing ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces, and providing assistance to craft workers.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3-5 years construction experience within the office/commercial setting.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, especially if in the dental office setting.
  • Ability to work on dental equipment preferred.
  • Licensed Contractor helpful, but not required.

Pay

$75,000.00 - $93,000.00 / Annually
