About the role

RWE Design Build is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead construction projects throughout the Indianapolis area. This position requires leading construction efforts and monitoring schedule progression with frequent on-site check-ins at our Downers Grove, IL office.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with and understand plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials, and inspection procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain construction schedules to ensure projects are completed according to drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project.
  • Conduct daily and/or weekly meetings with subcontractor representatives to schedule and coordinate construction activities.
  • Ensure materials are delivered to construction sites according to construction schedules.
  • Work with owners, owner’s representatives, architects, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and communicate issues immediately to the Project Manager.
  • Create and maintain look-ahead schedules for every project.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress photographs, and weekly reports in Procore.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork.
  • Attend job meetings and other required meetings for the successful and timely completion of projects.
  • Schedule and attend all required inspections.
  • Compile and schedule punch list items for completion and coordinate project closeouts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial ground-up construction experience as a Construction Superintendent.
  • Must have 5+ years of ground-up commercial experience.
  • Must currently create an initial project schedule and review it weekly with subcontractors, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical, communication, and computer skills, including competency with Procore, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Dropbox, and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and codes.
  • OSHA 30 Certified.
  • Local travel is required for this position.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, additions, interior remodels, design-build, carpentry.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
