Our client, a leading integrated developer and general contractor in the Metro Phoenix area, is seeking a Superintendent for interior projects to oversee on-site execution, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence for high-profile commercial and mixed-use developments.

About the role

Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion are met. Review blueprints, customer needs, and contractor submissions to execute appropriate bids. Lead construction project planning and site logistics, monitor subcontractors for quality workmanship and safety compliance, and maintain daily and weekly work logs. Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, work directly with investors, and ensure proper job site signage and safety requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction field activities to meet project milestone dates and overall schedule completion.
  • Review blueprints, customer needs, and contractor submissions to execute appropriate bids.
  • Lead construction project planning and develop site logistics.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain daily and weekly work logs.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Work directly with investors while maintaining a professional, client-facing attitude.
  • Ensure proper signage and safety requirements are met on the construction job site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor.
  • OSHA certification (preferred).
  • Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing large teams.
  • Mid-rise experience, preferably with diverse projects.
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing job sites.
  • Working knowledge of field construction systems, practices, safety, procedures, engineering principles, and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.

Pay

Competitive base salary between $110,000–$135,000 (depending on experience).
