Superintendent - Award-Winning Commercial GC

Responsibilities

• Continuously maintain a positive working relationship with clients, architects, subcontractors, city officials, and neighboring businesses.
• Develop lasting relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to enable future planning and support continuous growth.
• Serve as the primary point of contact at the jobsite to work directly with City, State, and Government officials, inspectors, and representatives.
• Provide training and support to local subcontractors in Multifamily quality best practices.
• Coordinate site expectations and plans with the on-site support team prior to home weekends.
• Ensure a healthy and safe work environment: actively participate and lead safety meetings, and complete annual safety training.
• Enforce jobsite safety with authority.
• Maintain a keen eye on day-to-day project operations while focusing on the project’s Critical Path.
• Work directly with the project team on the overall job schedule.
• Fiscally responsible for efficiently utilizing labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other related resources.
• Manage on-site requirements for SWPPP, Insurance, and OSHA programs with authority.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (additional experience a plus).
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams.
• Prior experience with ground-up commercial and industrial projects (retail, office, manufacturing, industrial, medical, and commercial tenant improvement project experience strongly preferred).
• Knowledge and experience with all trades scope of work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Software (MS Project), and other project management software.
